Feng Shui
Chinese Art of Placement
Feng Shui means "wind and water." It refers to the topography
of the earth, with mountains, valleys and waterways, whose sizes, shapes, levels and orientation, are created by
the continuous interaction of these powerful forces of nature.
Feng Shui evolved from a simple observation that people are
affected, good or bad, by surroundings, and the layout and orientation of homes and workplaces. Some believe that
its metaphysics operates similarly to modern physics, linking all matter and all mind in one unified theory. Feng
shui is something between science and an art.
From ancient China
to present day, people of all walks of life, from the Chinese peasant to Western global
corporations, are applying the feng shui techniques. Feng shui is used from the smallest areas, even placement
of a chair or where the telephone is on your desk, to the design of a factory or skyscraper, to ensure harmony
and bring health and prosperity to family and business
Sometimes you don't have a choice
of what a building is facing, or how it's built. That's when you apply feng shui "cures" to change bad
feng shui "chi" (or life energy) to good chi. If your living room has beams exposed, which is negative energy (like
knives hanging above, ready to fall and cut you at any moment), you can hang two wooden flutes with a red
ribbon or rope at 45° angles between the beam and the walls, forming the Ba Gua shape, to "cure" negative
knife blades.
Or if you have bookshelves
without doors on them, the shelves are also blades pointing out into the room, simply have all of your books pulled
out to the edge of the shelves and you have another "cure" for the knife blades.
Here are some simple Feng Shui "Cures" for Protection...
